Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

My husband is a U.S.A. citizen and I am not. I was born in Mexico. We have two kids and we are planning to apply for Cash Aid. We are currently unemploy and we need money. We live in California and my question is if in the future when I try to get my green card this will affect me?

When you apply for your green card you will need to supply an "affidavit of support" which states that you have enough income to support yourself. You will also have to supply tax returns. As long as you have enough income when you apply for your green card or there is someone who can sponsor you, your needing aid for a short time should not a problem.
