Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I'm not a legal US citizen but im under the deferred action. I wanted to get my medical Marijuana recommendation, would that affect me in anyway in the future when I'm renewing my deferred action or when I try and apply for citizenship? I would only be getting the recommendation for 1 year

The problem is that the CA medical marijuana law is contrary to Federal Law. Although I don't see that merely having the "license" would affect a future, potential immigration benefit, a drug conviction would. So be careful!

Also, you cannot become a U.S. legal permanent resident or citizen by way of deferred action.
