life insurance on ex spouse
can I buy life insurance on my previous spouse? I depend on his checks to live, however, upon death my payments stop.

If there is a legal obligation for him to support you, say per a court order, yes, you have an insurable interest in his life. Make sure you contact a knowledgeable life insurance agent.
