Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Discrimination

I work in a truck-tire plant, and i've been working under a very uncomfortable situation, due to the fact that management has been calling me & other employees

''wet-backs'' and in some cases they single

people out, accusing them of stealing, because ''of the way they act'' calling us ''convicts''...when I myself have never even been arrested....it's just stressing me out & and it's getting hard and extremely uncomfortable of an environment to work in.Please tell something could be done about this.

Thank You,

J.C.in L.A.

Re: Discrimination

It sounds as though you are the victim of ignorance, which includes racial harassment, which is illegal. You should see an employment law specialist in your area to get advise on how to address your situation, or call the Department of Fair Employment and Housing and set up an appointment. Make sure you have the names of all your witnesses available. There is strength in numbers.
