Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Employer Imposed Fee

My employer (a very large multi-national corporation) requires me (as a part of my job) to evaluate their products. To defray costs (and make it a non-benefit with the IRS) they charge me an Administrative Fee each month taken out of my pay. Is this legal and do they have the right to raise the Administrative Fee at their discretion?
