Legal Question in Employment Law in California

How long should an attorney take to let you know if he will except your case

For months ago I consulted an attorney about my wrongful termination and left him a journal of the last 18 months of my former employment. I have called and left numerous messages with no response. Now is this a common practice of law firms? Or is no news good news. I hope so , because if not my time limit is up to report to the EEOC.

Did you sign a retainer agreement with this attorney, or is the attorney supposedly mulling over whether to take the case? That's a big difference. If it's the latter, run to another attorney to take action. If it's the former and your statute of limitation has been blown, then there could be a malpractice claim. More facts are needed.
