Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I'm a resident of California and of retirement age. My employer has just initiated a Reduction In Force (RIF) because of the bad economy. If I am RIFed, can I collect unemployment as well as my retirement pension at the same time?

If your pension is payable only when you are unable to work, then no, but it probably is payable upon your reaching a certain age as long as you are not working for that particular company.
