Deposit Return from Lanlord

How do I gert it back? How long is maximum time landlord can hold my

deposit? landlord claiming short of funds...

Generally, 21 days max.

I agree with Mr. Meyer.

Landlord has 21 days to return your deposit, except for unpaid rent, damage done by you or your "guests", and cleaning, but only if you left the premises dirtier than when you moved in.

"Short of funds" is no excuse. It might be worth it to have an attorney write to the landlord. Also, the judge can assess a penalty of up to $600 against landlord, payable to you, for "bad faith".
