Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I'm in escrow in California attempting to purchase a business from a tenant that doesn't own the property. The landlord is very angry because the tenant removed the landlord's fixtures, granite, mural and build outs and didn't inform the landlord they were looking to sell. The tenant is currently on a month to month lease and I can't close escrow until I come to an agreement with the landlord. The landlord is also annoyed because the tenant listed assets the landlord owns, in our contract and is attempting to sell them to me. The landlord thinks I'm being ripped off and doesn't think I should go through with the deal, she mentioned I should back out of it so they would lower the offer. There is a broker involved that I hired that also represents the seller/tenant. I don't know what to do.

Do you really need us to tell you that you have gotten into a serious mess and need to get out of it, or at the very least totally renegotiate it? Do you not understand that if you buy a business that only has a month-to-month lease and the landlord isn't happy you can be closed down at any time on 30-days notice and lose everything? You really need to contact a local attorney for assistance.
