evections

sheriffs served a 30 day evection how long does it take to have them actually have to move out?

I assume it's a 30-day notice. If the tenants don't move in 30 days, then you'll have to file and serve an unlawful detainer lawsuit. Then the tenants will have five days after they are served to file and serve an answer. Then a trial will be set within a couple of weeks if everything goes normally. Then, if you obtain judgment for possession, the sheriff should evict within a week or so.

If you answer, then you will have another 6 weeks. However, you must answer within 5 days of service, otherise an order for eviction may be issued very quickly. Contact me directly.
