involuntary lien

we rented a house from my mother in law and later she turned it over to property manager/ realitor and he won by default back rent then later put a involuntary lien against us what does that mean and how do we get the lien taken care of

The realtor has paced a lien, meaning you owe money, and the property cannot be sold, or transferred without the lien being paid.

The involuntary part means it is placed without the consent of the owner. In other words, your mother-in-law did not consent to this. Maybe she owed the realtor money, as we as your back rent.

You get it taken care by paying the amount of the lien. If you dispute it, you will need to retain an

attorney.
