Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I manage a apartment complex and had to give a letter of intent to evict after getting home realized had give tent wrong letter with incorrect dates of payment due on it. I went back the next day with an amendment letter stating the dates where incorrect and also with a new letter with correct dates. Is it legal for me to do that? Amend a notice?

Nope. Can't amend. If the new notice was in compliance as a notice to pay or quit, however, then the error and the amendment don't matter and the new notice stands on its own. If there is any doubt, however, best practices is to just give a brand new notice and ignore that you gave previous incorrect ones.
