Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

noisy neighbors

I live in a relatively nice area. My wife and I have a childcare. The next door nieghbors are rich indians that party constanty around 2am. Ive called the police 4 times because asking them to stop doesnt work. Now Im conserned that they are going to press charges or file against me for the visits from the police. Is that posible? is there anything they can do? Or am I within my rights to desire peace? Is there anything I can do about them? I heard them say he would have us on the streets to his friends. We rent from a very nice lady and have a two year lease. Should I be worried?

Re: noisy neighbors

You can seek a restraining order against your neighbors for creating a nuisance. Be prepared, however, as such action will cost several thousand dollars in attorney fees.

Re: noisy neighbors

Tell your nice lady landlord to choose between the noisy neighbors and you.

You are entitled to "quiet" enjoyment of the premises, or you can leave.

They can file charges, but based on your version, I would not worry.

I cannot help you, as to worrying.
