Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I paid a security deposit was $1200. Upon move out, my landlord deducted $900 for fees BUT overpaid me saying my deposit was $2400. So I got a check from her for $1500, more than my initial deposit. She is not aware of her mistake.

1. Am I liable to return the excess to her for her mistake.

2. Is there a statue of limitations if she does realize her mistake that she could not come after it from me?
