Since a lease is a contract, and the recission doctrine applies to contracts, the technical answer to your question is "yes."

Interesting question, without a definitive answer.

Rescission has seldom been used in this area of law, but technically goes to the law of contracts.

Generally one must have a defense to the contract, such as fraud, mistake, concealment of facts, etc. Without knowing your situation, it would be hard to answer. The key issue would be miscalculation or misrepresentation of a specific fact.
