Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I was served an unlawful detainer eviction for late rent. The landlord agreed to wait for the rent over the phone. Now i have been served a 5 day notice to vacate by the sheriffs. What can i do? Day 5 falls on a sunday, i believe this property is unlicensed and i know for sure its ridden non-sanitary living conditions. Do i have any solid case?

Not anymore. If you got a sheriff's notice you already lost the case. It's over.
