Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

I own a condo and have a home based business. I was just notified on 3-26-10 that power is going to be shut off on Monday until the afternoon. I am going to lose revenue because i am not able to notify my clients of the shut down. Do i have legal recourse?

Unfortunately, there's a five-day lag in free questions appearing for response. I hope that things worked out on Monday. In future events, you could forward the phone to an alternative work area, and make arrangements to access your computer information on a laptop or flash drive, as you had a bit of lead time to do so. It might make sense to back up your data in the "cloud" or onto a laptop or flash drive.

I doubt that you will have recourse, unless it's in your lease/rental agreement that the HOA will assume liability for home-based business interruption.
