Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

defamation of character

my asst manager at work is constantly telling other employees that me and my brother (we are both shift managers)are ''worthless'' and that we ''do nothing but stand around and talk''

these statements are completely untrue and can be prioven as so.

this has been happening for a while now and our employer told us basically to deal with it

do i have a case against my manager and/or employer??
