It is possible. Depends on if they have a theory that you had fault. If you have homeowner's insurance this may cover you.

Your friend can always sue but the real question is whether or not there is a good defense to avoid liability. The answer is yes. Under the Knight vs. Jewett case an individual participating in a recreational activity (which would probably include being on a horse) whether riding or just sitting on a horse assumes the risk of injury. This is called the law of primary assumption of the risk. You as the presumed horse and premises owner could most likely only be held liable IF you increased the risk of harm by doing or failing to do something. I hope this helps. Bob
