Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I was injured working at GTE back in 1985-ish...subsequent knee surgery, etc, lawsuit was filed, and now after more disabling problems, want to file for Social Security Disability, but have no records from that court case to add to my application, I have some spinal problems, which were related, and already had a second knee surgery...how can I possibly get any records...I do not recall my attorney's name , and I am not even sure what county this was filed in...I ASSUME Los Angeles county, as I lived in Los Angeles county, and accident at work occured in Pomona which was also LA county...is there ANY way to get copy of court documents ? Future medical was included in the lawsuit as well...THANKS in advance for any info you can provide....(just moved to Arkansas Oct 2010-that is where the zip code is for---home...)

If it is a civiil case, You can go to www.courtinfo.ca.gov and go to each county's court and look up in their civil index for your name. If it was a work comp case, I have no idea what to do.
