Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I live in Riverside County. Ca. My husband was at a motel and the police were called. An altercation occured and my husband died 5 days later at the hospital. The police won't give report. The hospital report says the brainstem was disconnected, he had injury to head, face and throat as well as other areas. The cause of death they said accidental overdose but the amount in his system was not a lethal dose. No autopsy was done. He is waiting at the funeral home to be buried. I need a pro bono attorney to represent on this case. According to the medications they were giving him at the hospital it would appear they were helping to cover the police brutality.

I am sorry to read about your husband's untimely passing. From what little I read, you might have a cause of action against the police department. Of course, I would have to review all the facts, and perform an investigation to know for sure. However, I will be glad to give you a free consultation if you contact me at 818.385.0520. I handle cases statewide.

You should look for a lawyer who takes a case on a contingency bases, not a pro bono attorney. Pro bono means an attorney works for free. Contingency means the attorney gets paid out of any judgment or settlement.
