Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Personal Injury

Can you tell me what the statute of limitations are in Calif. for personal injury? My adult son was attacked by a bar manager in 5/06. He did not report it, out of fear. Since then, the bar has been shut down by a police sting (due to felony assaults by management, and much more). There is much more to the story (why my son did not follow through til now).

Please advise regarding the statute of limitations.

Thank you.
