Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Why is there a "statute of limitation" on filing a case that involves injury caused by HRT? Whether one gets breast cancer(prescribed and taken for 15 years)1 year or 5 years after she STOPS, the pharmacuetical companies should be held accountable: pathology report definitevly linked cancer to hormone replacement therapy. Also, adjuvant therapy included taking Arimidex for 5(five)years.

Statutes of limitations generally run from when one knows, or through the exercise of reasonable diligence should have known, that they have been harmed and that someone else is responsible for the harm. So it does NOT matter when a person stopped using a drug. That is not the operative fact in determining when the statute of limitations runs.
