Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

So today while working drive thru, a customers dog came at my and bit two of my fingers leaving a mark, the customer and my coworkers saw it too. i believe it was caught on camera. but the customer drove off. i dont know what to do? can i still sue?

You could file for workers' compensation for both your injuries and pain and suffering it caused. You also could file suit in a small claims court.

Besides work comp as noted before, my question is who can you sue if the dog owner/driver left? If you obtained information as to that dog owner/driver's address, etc., then sure, you can file a claim against that person, otherwise it is unlikely if you have no information on that person.
