Legal Question in Product Liability in California

I had a saline breast implant deflation.I am told this is a manufacturer defect. I have to undergo a operation and have both of them taken out due to this defect and replaced. The company in which the implants were bought I had insurance with because of the possibility of this occuring. The insurance is paying for the implants but I have to still pay the MD and undergo a operation I don't want but have to have. What should I do?
