I want to give POA to a real estate agent in Uruguay to buy property on my behalf. The free forms only have US addresses to choose from, please advise!

You cannot use a POA given under U.S. law and expect it to be good in Uruguay. You'll need to use one that is valid under Urugay law.

I recommend that you contact a Uruguayan consular office in the United States; they will probably be able to furnish a POA form that's valid in Uruguay, or at least direct you to an attorney who is familiar with Uruguayan law and legal forms. The consul in San Francisco is Mark Ritchie, at 351 California St., Suite 150, S.F. CA 94104. His office hours are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., phone (415) 986-5222, email [email protected]. If he can't help you, try the embassy in Washington. Use caution in controlling the use of any POA you execute!
