I'd say three to five weeks from the time you are served with a three-day notice to pay rent or quit until the sheriff arrives to remove you is pretty typical, but it can be longer if (a) the landlord delays in filing suit, or (b) the court calendar is crowded, or (c) the sheriff is busy.
