Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Soil contamination: my rights and responsibilities

I live next to what used to be a gas station whose owner has recently started to treat contaminated soil due to their storage tank leaking. It has done some tests on our backyard and found it, and possibly our residential area, to be contaminated as well. So far we haven't experienced any injury that we can link to the contamination, but our property value definitely is hurt. What legal rights do I have against the neighbor? My zip code is 94552.

I am not sure where you live, but you appear to have a cause of action against the gas station owner. If you are in LA County give me a call

Sincerely

Allen
