Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

Sexual Harassment during driving lesson

My 19 year old daughter was repeatedly touched and sexual inuendos was made as well as asking if she was single by a 30+ year old man. Do I have any grounds for filming a sexual harassment suit? I called the driving school and told them I wanted my money back and explained to them the situation. They did refund my money, but now my daughter is afraid to walk on the street alone, because the instructor knows where she lives. Now I have to drive her even up the block. No she never got her license because of the situation.

Please let me know if it's worth pursuing this. Thanks.

Re: Sexual Harassment during driving lesson

You do not have a right to file a sexual harassment lawsuit. However, your daughter may have the right. The situation that you described is very complex which may include criminal charges against the driving instructor, or a lawsuit against the driving school, etc. There may be many ways to go. Feel free to contact my office at 818.385.0520 to set an appointment. I will give your daughter a free consultation

SHE can file criminal charges and/or bring civil action if there is some way of proving her claims. If so, she is free to contact me to discuss the facts and her rights and remedies.
