Californai residency requirements

I have been a lifelong resident of California; proir to receiving a large Capital Gain, how can I become a resident of a non-tax state like Oregon or Nevada?

Move there BEFORE you receive the money!! If you move there after you receive the money, it's too late! plan and act accordingly...good luck!!
