Is it considered a fraudulent marriage If I were to say, marry a roommate specifically for tax purposes?

If you must marry for financial reasons, find someone wealthy.

Even if it were, I doubt that it would ever become an issue. Remember: You can marry more money in five minutes than you can make in a lifetime.
