Legal Question in Tax Law in California

I own a tattoo parlor and we do body piercings. I purchase jewelry but do not sale it, the jewelry is included with the piercing. Do I have to pay sales tax on the jewelry?

Thank You, Toni

In most States, you are considered the "end user" and must pay Sales Tax when acquiring the jewelry. If you gave your supplier an exemption certificate, then you must pay Use Tax.

I hope this helps!
