Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Aircraft Issued Speeding Ticket

I was issued a speeding ticket from an aircraft. I was driving down the freeway when i noticed 5 cops on the side of the road. I slowed on the approach when all 5 shot into the road and pulled over 5 people. I was then informed that i had been clocked by air craft speeding. When asked where i was clocked, the officer was vague and said that intersection back there. I recieved a notice 2 days later in the mail saying they had written down the wrong intersection where i was clocked. There was a 4 mile difference. Can i get my case dismissed on the error with the place i was caught? Also, isnt it illegal for an airplane to clock you in california? Doesnt a patrol car have to pace you before they can issue a citation?

Re: Aircraft Issued Speeding Ticket

Airplane speeding tickets are fairly easy to beat. For one thing, if you have a trial -two- cops need to show up (the pilot and the ground cop).. See the book, Fight Your Ticket (nolo.com or the law library).
