annual accounting of trust

Father died year ago, brother is trustee. Does brother have to give an annual accounting of all income and out go of monies. He has been trustee 3 years and never has. Can we request a 3 year spread sheet of these incomes and expenditures?

Re: annual accounting of trust

Yes. See the Trust documents to determine how often the trustee is supposed to account to beneficiaries.

You should be provided with a copy of the Trust document if you have not already been.

If he will not provide it you should consult with a local attorney to write a letter on your behalf and, if necessary to file appropriate motions to the court.

Let me know if you would like to consult on this matter.
