Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Can a clause in a will be contested?

A father died and left a substantial amount of money to his son..... but the estipulation of the will says that he will not be able to access the funds until age 30.....he is now 18 years old and he and his family need the money now.......for education, marriage, help family, etc.....12 more years from now could change many things in someone's life......using the money now will help in setting a better future for himself and for his family.

Your prompt response is appreciated.
