My father died 8 days before I was born, my mother told me that he might have had estate in Alabama. Is there a way that I can check if he did have property or a will, or maybe a living trust?

If you know your father's name you can check the probate register in each county in Alabama in which your father may have resided. Also check the real property grantor/grantee index for hints about living trusts, etc.
