Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Grandfather had a trust and I'm suppose to be main beneficiary. I have doubts about honesty of how trust money is handled. I had hired an attorney to write a letter asking for an accounting of this trust from time it was set up and my grandfather past away to current date. How long do they have to respond to my request. If they don't what should my next step be. And are they penalized for not complying to my request.

The trustee usually has 60 days to respond to a beneficiary's request for information.

If the trustee fails to respond, the beneficiary must file a petition with the Court to obtain information. Your attorney should be able to represent you in this proceeding.
