If my sick Grandmother's home is in a Trust and she is still alive can the trustees sell the home & keep the money?

If the home is titled in the trust, then trustees typically have the authority to sell it. The money would remain in the trust to be managed by the trustees for the benefit of the beneficiaries.

Ms. Rouse's response is correct, but to clarify- although I can't be sure without seeing the document, most likely your grandmother is the ONLY beneficiary during her lifetime; if so, the proceeds of the house can only be used for her benefit while she is alive.
