Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I want to accept the offer to settle my future medical on a workers comp case that closed on 1992 or '93 I had a lawyer. Do I need to contact him or can I just sign the release of records to insurance.

If you had a lawyer, the lawyer is still listed on the WCAB/State address record as your lawyer, so either work with that lawyer or dismiss that lawyer. If you sign the release of records to the insurance and the records released include things you shouldn't release (sexually-transmitted diseases testing and diagnoses, mental health testing and diagnoses) you may find the adjuster no longer wants to offer you any money for your future medical. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ARE RELEASING, it can and will be used against you, to save the insurer money.
