If I fail a drug screen test will it go on my record? Will it affect future jobs that I apply for? What is the worst that can happen?

To which specific record are you referring with 'go on my record'?

In workers compensation, results of blood work are reported by the evaluation physician and THAT bloodword finding goes on a treatment report and a medical-legal report.

If the test results go to a Human Resources file, then those results sit in your HR file at that company; if you request Unemployment Insurance and those bloodwork results go into evidence at an EDD Hearing, those blood work results are in the EDD file.
