how much SHOULD you settle for? $1,000,000 Of course, you won't get anything near a million.

Now, reality check time, how much will a Comp Insurance company offer and should you consider accepting that offer?

The amount that the comp insurance adjuster offers depends on what the Treating Doc and the QME wrote in each Maximum Medical Improvement report.

If each wrote: no further treatment, over-the-counter pain killers will suffice, you'll only get around $2,500 offered.

If each wrote: bilateral knee replacement surgery is likely and spinal compression surgery is likely, you[ll need that million referenced above, but the adjuster will offer around $250,000.

Then you decide: do you want the cash and go get private insurance to handle the further treatment you'll need, or if you can't get insurance and you can't pay for care, is the offer way too low to take seriously?
