Legal Question in Personal Injury in Canada

night club

I was at a night club 2 weeks ago and dancing on the dance floor and out of no ware some one threw a beer bottle and it hit me on the head.I don't know who threw it but went to the hospital right away , I was bleeding pretty bad the dr said i don't need stitches but i been getting pretty bad Migraines. I will be going to the Dr soon again. I wanted to know if it is possible to sue the club for pain and suffering. After the incident the manager of the club came up to me and was like next time you come i will give you free drinks and sorry about what happen.

Re: night club

In British Columbia you may possibly be able to sue, but you have not given anywhere enough information; some (not all) of what is needed are details of the customers of the club, the staff, whether or not there are surveillance video tapes of the club that night, and much more. You should contact a lawyer. You can get a referral for a consultation for $25.00 for 1/2 an hour (and many lawyers don't even charge the $25) by contacting the B.C. Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. Their number is in the yellow pages under "lawyer referral & regulation".
