Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Colorado

I have hit hard times, and moved a lot, living out of motels. I kept my mailing address at my former home, then changed it to my parents house. I was just served a citation for contempt of court. I do have a judgement against me. The citation states I neglected to file a questionnaire I was given. My former roommate did acknowledge upon my questioning that he did receive it some time ago. Should i call the law office tomorrow and attempt to resolve this issue? Or must I now face the judge on my court date? It is more than 45 days away. Thank you!

So you didn't keep a copy of the interrogatories? That's unfortunate. If you have proof that you provided what was required, contact the firm and try to resolve this. If you have no proof I don't see that they will resolve anything.

The court date is set for the contempt. If you don't go they will likely issue a bench warrant for your arrest. You should speak with an attorney on the process and options. Good luck.
