Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

My husband and I are being charged with misdemeanor for child abuse. I'm being charged with my almost 3 month old daughter that ended up with fractures and we have no idea when or how she got them and my husband is being charged for my 3 year old son because he had some brusing from playing with his 5 year old sister, but they are saying it's from a belt. How do we go about proving we didn't do what we are being accused of and what do they have to prove to convict us?

You each need an attorney. Neither of you should speak with anyone from the government unless your attorney is present and OKs it.

If you cannot afford an attorney, get a public defender.

Broken bones usually indicate felony charges. The police may be lying to you. Get someone on your side.

If police or prosecution or social services comes to discuss, tell them "I want a lawyer" and say nothing else.
