Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Walmart employee theft

Upon leaving work I shopped, bought groceries at the front registers, then stopped to check on antacid as my stomach was in pain and has been for about 3 weeks, picked up treats for my dogs, going through garden center to check out...in the midst of pain and rushing to catch the last bus home from work, my hands full with groceries bought, bag, jacket and what I was about to purchase. I paid for everything somehow excluding the store brand of antacid valued at under $4. While at the register I did stop to put on my jacket. One of the managers was waiting for me at the door to check my bag as I carry one large bag of my own since I ride the bus. Upon checking my two receipts, one for the groceries and the other for what I bought for the dogs, neither had the antacid on the receipt and the result from last they have suspended me from work. No charges were filed and nothing was signed, I was to receive a call from upper management this morning and no one has called to let me know if I can come to work. I need to know what my next step should be. I can't explain how the antacid got in the bag without going through the register, but nothing was intentional on my part. What is my recourse of action?

Re: Walmart employee theft

Look for another job. Why do you want to work for some creep who searches his employees as they leave work?

Alternatively, show up for work like nothing happened. I'm sure they'll let you know whether they want you back, right after they frisk you.

Good luck, and good job hunting.
