Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

3rd arrest-9yrs previous, 9yrs before that

This is my third arrest for drunk driving. I had one 9 yrs

prior, in another state, and one 9 yrs prior to that. I was

involved in an accident, rearended another vehicle and was

arrested, taken to detox. No injuries. My BAC was .14.

Will this new charge be considered a felony? What will be the guidelines for punishment? Will I loose my license for more than 3 months and will there be any jail time? When I

go to court, if at that time I decide to get a lawyer, can I

postpone the proceedings to obtain a lawyer or will they make me continue on at that point?

It will not be a felony. There is a broad range of possible penalties. It depends mainly on the judge. If you get a third conviction, your license will be revoked for 2 years. You need a lawyer now.
