Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

DUI on a bicycle?

Can one really get charged with Driving Under the Influence while riding a bicycle? I've never had a DUI and want to ride my bike to my neighborhood bar. I have no accidents and only one speeding tix on my driving record. If I get a DUI on a bicycle does that affect my driving record, consequently my auto insurance?

Oh, for heaven's sake, if you're planning to get drunk, walk, take the bus or a cab, or go with a friend who isn't planning on getting drunk and running down some poor kid on the sidewalk.

By all means get blasted, but don't plan on driving anything home after, not even your dog.
