Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

reinstatement of driver license for employment needs

DL revoked 1/2002. Paid required fines, served 5 days in Julesburg; 10 days in Park County (2 separate DUI offenses.) Completed all court-ordered dui classes. Have letters of reference from Park County Court, Harvest Farms (Wellington, CO), voluntary rehab center. I'm a self-employed contractor and need my DL to earn an income. What is required for reinstatement of DL to access job sites? It's a hardship for my wife to continue to drive and our relationship is in jeopardy. Situation increases strain to an already stressful situation.

Re: reinstatement of driver license for employment needs

The best way to find out exactly what you need to do is to go to your local DMV and ask. I know that sounds glib, but it is true.

From the sounds of it, you have been revoked for over 2 years. These offenses usually only require 1 yr revocation each - unless HTO.

They often require SR-22 insurance, and a reinstatement fee, but hard to know without going to DMV.
