My son 16 years old with a learners permit took our car wrecked and was charged with dui, no licecense, careless driving and failed to notify police of accident. What is the least he is facing and what is the most? It was my car he took without permission. Are the parents going to have to pay or is it possiable they can give it down to him? He has a record already including drug charges and truency.

He can be found guilty of all charges at the maximum or at the least it can be either a DWAI plus careless driving or just a dwai at the minimum. The permutations are difficult to predict. You should hire a lawyer for him. He can be held responsible for the costs, fines, and restitution. I am presuming he consumed alcohol. If his BAC (blood or breath alcohol content) is over 0.15 he could get a DUI at the minimum.

The question does not explain how he got access to your vehicle. How come you did not keep your car keys safely from your son.
