Purchase and sale of marital assets is not allowed under the automatic temporary injunction unless it is in the ordinary course of business. Depending on the specific facts, he may be in violation of this provision. The failure to provide financial support is a different matter. If there is a court order requiring support, then a failure to pay as ordered would be something a contempt motion could be based upon. If there is no court order, then contempt is not an option for a remedy. You would first need to obtain an order requiring support. You may be able to argue at the time of final division for some compensation for the lack of support at the beginning, depending on your specific facts. There are factors which could make this answer incorrect for your particular circumstances, so I recommend you speak with an experienced family law attorney before taking action. You can discuss the particular facts of your situation in greater detail than is possible or appropriate here, and thus get a specific assessment of your options.
